Dear Internet Marketer,

There has been a lot of talk about “product launches” in internet marketing circles for some time.

In fact, it’s become somewhat of a “niche” within IM (much like email marketing, viral marketing, article marketing, etc.) with many articles, reports and products devoted to the topic.

For the record, just so we’re all on the same page, here is a working definition of a “product launch”…

A product launch is the sum total of your marketing activities to produce as many initial sales as possible of your newly created product.

That’s obviously a desirable result … as many initial sales as possible. But, how does it work?

The 7 Basic Steps Of A Product Launche

A very generalized view of a product launch looks something like this…

  • Build a list of prospective buyers in your target audience.
  • Develop a hot product that is in demand by your list.
  • Tweak your sales process until it is rock-solid.
  • Create pre-launch buzz by “teasing” your subs with details.
  • Find influential partners to promote you on “launch day”.
  • Create more buzz by revealing case studies of results.
  • Announce your product to list on launch day with some kind of limit or deadline to further get them to act now.

Now, to be sure, there are a lot of “parts” within each of these steps, but that’s the basic overview of what a product launch looks like.

Sounds easy, right?

If it’s so easy, then why is it that “gurus” are the ones who predominately pull it off? How often do you really hear about an “average Joe” who makes a splash with a product launch?

The Truth Is The Average Person Won’t See
Significant Results From A Product Launch.

There are a variety of reasons for this, but perhaps the most critical is the fact that the average person can’t get influential partners to promote their offer for them as part of the launch.

Pull that out of the “formula” for a product launch and you basically have yourself sending out mailings to your own list.

The truth is, without the leveraging from partners’ existing influence and assets, your product launch isn’t going to make much of a splash in the overwhelming majority of cases.

So, What Does Work For The “Average” Person?

What I’ve learned from experience back when I was a “nobody” is that you can “piggyback” off of others!

The definition of “piggyback” from does a very accurate job of portraying the idea here..

To use, appropriate, or exploit the availability, services, or facilities of another.

A “piggyback” product launch, therefore, is to use the existing leverage of someone or something else to launch your product.

That is, if you don’t have a list, an affiliate program, a network of partners, a group of people who will help you launch your product, you can “piggyback” off someone who does in order to successfully launch your product.

So you want to be a work at home mom (wahm)?  You want to be your own boss and you do not want to get into the Network Marketing.  So, what can you get into if it’s not Network Marketing?  Read on, I found a great article that talks about this situation. 

Home Business Wanted, But Not Network Marketing

People who want to start a Home Business are looking for more control of their life, and to achieve financial freedom, as millions people are doing. There is too much uncertainty in our lives today, and the only way to change this is to become our own boss. It’s never too late!!

There are many ways to make money from home. However, they are not all equal. Depending on your background, and skill level, picking the right home business for you will determine how successful you’ll be. Success comes from learning and sharing. There are several successful business people who are willing to help you, like Mike Klingler, Julie Salgado, Debra Morrison, Lisa Diane, and me. You just need to learn how to find them.

So you want to make money from home, but Network Marketing doesn’t appeal to you. You’re not interested in talking to a lot of people, and going to meetings. You don’t want to learn how to become a great Leader, and recruit people into your business. So what can you do to make money from home?

There are several ways to build a Home Business, but it all takes some form of marketing, except the type where you are handling rebates for a company, processing insurance, or other forms of clerical work. But these are more like a job, since you don’t build any residual income, and when you don’t work there is no income.

There are Affiliate Programs where you promote other peoples products through your website, which requires you to advertise on the internet, and other media. Even though an Affiliate Program is the easiest to get into, with no risk, you still need to learn how to market, and draw people to your website. You don’t need to recruit others, but you’ll want to have others join your program, so you earn a referral fee. You can get marketing training from Mike Klingler’s Renegade University program.

So how can a person make money from Home, if they don’t want to be a Network Marketer? The Internet offers great opportunities…

1) You can write a book about a subject you have some knowledge of, and a passion for, such as Landscaping, Cooking, Pet Care, and other topics. But you need to be sure you are writing about a subject people need, not want. You need to research the Internet to see what’s being promoted, so you’ll be able to sell your eBook. That takes time, so you won’t be generating any income for awhile.

So while you are working on your book, you’ll want to join an Affiliate Program to generate an income, and gain experience.

2) Look for an Affiliate program that has a step by step training program, where you are promoting eBooks, and CDs that Network Marketers, and other Home business owners need. I think Michael Cheney’s Affiliate Millions has one of the better programs. He takes you step by step, so you can make money right away. And has a great support program to help you if you have any problems. You can also use ClickBank. Below you’ll find the link to the site.

3) If you want to work towards becoming a millionaire you want a program offered by a multimillionaire who knows how, and will show you how to become a millionaire, such as Lisa Diane’s Millionaires Training Course. The website link is available at the bottom of this article.

You have read and heard the HYPE on becoming a millionaire, with this program, or that one, and want to know the TRUE STORY…

Well the story is there are a lot of people making one million dollars a year, or more on the Internet, and in Network Marketing. But there are more making less than $500 per month, which is fine if you just want some extra money each month. That would call it a hobby, not a serious business.

What’s the difference? Well it starts with selecting the opportunity that’s right for you, not just the right opportunity. There are a lot of opportunities, but which one is right for you is an important question. It starts with what you want to accomplish, and then understanding the business you select. You should join one that will be there all the way to help you reach your goal.

People who make one million a year or more, within two years are not new to Internet or Network Marketing. They have a track record of success, and have been big money earners in their current or past business. They know what to do to duplicate their success.

So whether you are a seasoned Internet or Network Marketer, you need to learn the method that will bring you the same result as the millionaires.

How To Increase Your Network Marketing Sponsoring Rate!When you are talking to a new prospect, the temptation to build up the image of your company and promote the products is huge but you have to stop yourself as this will jeopardize your chances of creating a relationship with your prospect.

How do you create a relationship with your prospect? Promote yourself as an expert in your field. Everyone wants information that can help them build a successful business. Give them valuable information they can use.

How do you promote yourself as an expert? It is simple, give your prospect something of value! What can you give them that would be of value and make you seem like the expert in your field? Give them a free report. It doesn’t need to be a 100 page report; it can be as simple as a 1000 words.

What you are aiming to do is attract the prospect’s attention and make them want to find out more, after all you are the expert, right?.

A couple of years ago I remember reading a report I received about MLM sponsoring which was so well written it made me stop and say “WOW I get it now!” It was not the normal boring “bla, bla, bla,” about how great the company or the products were. Instead, the author actually gave me something of value which made me feel instant respect for her and I looked at her as an expert.

Basically, the report spoke about why many of us in network marketing aren’t building a huge business. Yes, the report was aimed at getting me interested in getting more information, but this report struck the core of me and I realized I wanted more information, I had to have it. Getting more information from this expert in her field was a no-brainer. I didn’t feel like I was under any pressure at all to make an immediate decision. More importantly, it was a process which was easy to duplicate and one I felt comfortable implementing.

The term “over-deliver” is being used everywhere in Internet Marketing and you better believe it is just as effective when used in Network Marketing. So what ways can you think of to over-deliver to your potential downline? Earn their trust and respect, prove yourself as an expert in your field and you will create business associates for life.
