Ebay As A Business

Can you actually make a living selling on Ebay?  Sure you can, many people are doing it right now.  How do we know this, go there right now and look up how many PowerSellers there are.  You can find thousands of them.

Next time you’re on eBay, take a look at how many PowerSellers there are: you’ll find quite a few. Now consider that every single one of one of them must be making at least $1,000 per month, as that’s eBay’s requirement for becoming a PowerSeller. Silver PowerSellers make at least $3,000 each month, while Gold PowerSellers make more than $10,000, and the Platinum level is $25,000. The top ranking is Titanium PowerSeller, and to qualify you must make at least $150,000 in sales every month!

The fact that these people exist gives you come idea of the income possibilities here. Most of them never set out to even set up a business on eBay – they simply started selling a few things, and then kept going. There are plenty of people whose full-time job is selling things on eBay, and some of them have been doing it for years now.

Can you imagine that? Once they’ve bought the stock, everything else is pretty much pure profit for these people – they don’t need to pay for any business premises, staff, or anything else. There are multi-million pound businesses making less in actual profit than eBay PowerSellers do.

Even if you don’t want to quit your job and really go for it, you can still use eBay to make a significant second income. You can pack up orders during the week and take them down to the post office for delivery each Saturday. There are few other things you could be doing with your spare time that have anywhere near that kind of earning potential.

What’s more, eBay doesn’t care who you are, where you live, or what you look like: some PowerSellers are very old, or very young. Some live out in the middle of nowhere where selling on eBay is one of the few alternatives to farming or being very poor. eBay tears down the barriers to earning that the real world constantly puts up. There’s no job interview and no commuting involved – if you can post things, you can do it.

Put it this way: if you know where to get something reasonably cheaply that you could sell, then you can sell it on eBay – and since you can always get discounts for bulk at wholesale, that’s not exactly difficult. Buy a job lot of something in-demand cheaply, sell it on eBay, and you’re making money already, with no set-up costs.

If you want to dip your toe in the water before you commit to actually buying anything, then you can just sell things that you’ve got lying around in the house. Search through that cupboard of stuff you never use, and you’ll probably find you’ve got a few hundred dollars’ worth of stuff lying around in there! This is the power of eBay: there is always someone who wants what you’re selling, whatever it might be, and since they’ve come looking for you, you don’t even need to do anything to get them to buy it.

So you want to get started on eBay? Well, that’s great! There are only a few little things you need to learn to get started. My next post will give you the lowdown.

Magnets for Your Pets Health

Awhile back I talked to you about how magnets have really changed my life.  The carpal tunnel is almost non existent at this point.  The constant stiffness in my neck from working on my computer all the time, is gone.  I can not say enough about how magnets have helped me.

Now comes the stranger part of my experiment with magnets.  I was laying on the couch the other night and looked down at my poor old dog Teddybear, who was looking back at me with those loving eyes that she always looks at me with.  And suddenly I just thought I would take off my magnetic necklace and try it on her.

teddy-and-toys.jpg  Teddybear is 13 years old, mixed Border Collie and Australian Shepard, sweet as can be, but she is falling apart.  She has cataracts, can not hear well, has severe arthritis in her hind legs and as of this year has seizures.

Anyway, I took off my necklace and placed it on Teddybear to see what if any improvements in her health I would see.  I will tell you the improvements were very quick.  Now, I know, you could say that I was just wishing there were improvements but even my neighbor noticed that Teddy was not having as many seizures and they were not nearly as severe as they had been.

I would say that Teddy was probably having 3 to 4 seizures every hour and they would last about 8 to 10 seconds.  Now, she has one seizure every couple of hours maybe and they are only a couple of seconds long.  This is marked improvements.  She seems a lot more alert and peppier.

Of course this is great news and I am very happy to give up my necklace if it will make my dogs life a little better and it is.  Anyway, it gave me an idea for a new business, why not make pet collars with magnets in it!  Yeah…. great idea!  Everybodies doing it!

Even the place where I got my last bracelet, Energetix has magnets for your pets collars.  So, much for my million dollar idea, but the good news is you can get magnets for your pets at Energetix Magnetic Jewelry.

Hold Hands To Help You Calm Down

According to Neuroscientist James A. Coan at the University of Virginia, if you are stressed out there is a simple way to help you calm down.  He says you should hold hands with someone.

Brain scans of women under stress show they get calmer when holding a man’s hand even that of a stranger.  Stress reduction was even greater when the woman held the hand of someone she was close too.

The greatest impact was seen by women who married and holding the hands of their husbands.  It is thought that hold hands may also lower a woman’s perception of pain.

You Are What You Eat

Eating and dieting has always been one of the huge areas of problem in my life.  I try new things all the time and try to do what is right for myself and my family.  I am sure you know, it is not easy.  Well, once again I was thinking about the way I eat and am I taking care of myself and that old expression came to mind, “You are what you eat.” Have you ever really thought about what it means? And do you think about it when you’re making food choices?

In some ways, we do become what we eat, literally. Have you ever seen an example of your blood plasma after eating a fast food hamburger? I saw a documentary and what was previously a clear liquid becomes cloudy with the fat and cholesterol that’s absorbed from eating a high-fat hamburger.

And it got me to thinking more, when you think about it, we also become what we don’t eat. When we switch from eating meat to a vegetarian-based diet, we become less fat, less prone to many types of cancers. Our cholesterol can improve. When we’re leaner and eating fewer animal products, then many other health and fitness issues are reduced. The incidence of Type II diabetes is reduced. Blood pressure falls into normal ranges. When you’re healthier, you’re taking fewer medications. Even if you have a prescription drug benefit in your health plan, you’re still saving money with fewer co-payments on medications.

If you have a family history of high cholesterol or high blood pressure like I do, then it’s particularly important to revise your eating habits. Moving towards a more vegetarian diet has been shown statistically to reduce the incidence of so many of the diseases of industrialized countries. Vegetarians are statistically healthier than omnivorous persons; they’re leaner and live longer.

Again I think it’s time to think about what I want to be and to eat accordingly? Do I want to be sluggish and fat? Do I want the risk that goes with eating animal products, with their high fat content? Or do I want to look like and be what vegetarians are? Leaner and fitter with a longer anticipated lifespan. It’s never too late to change what I’m doing and increase my chances for a longer, fitter life.

I’ll Let you know how this goes and if I make some changes to better my life and maybe live longer and stay healthier for my family.
